Round-up 2009

  • Wolverhampton Racecourse allowed the Staffordshire committee to hold a very successful sponsored race day in August.
  • The Lady Captain of Walsall Golf Club ran a Fourball Betterball competition in September and raised over £5,000.
  • Donations from Army units have also increased with significant donations from 30th Signal Regiment, 4 Mercian, 123 Ammunition Squadron RLC and HQ 143 Brigade.
  • Street collections in Warwick and Worcester, to coincide with the Queen’s Royal Hussars return from Iraq, also raised substantial sums.
