The Event
Your challenge takes place on the weekend of the 30 June to 1 July 2012. We are offering you the opportunity to experience the remote and stunning region of Perthshire and Glen Angus, while raising vital funds for The Soldiers’ Charity, PSYBT and the Alliance Trust Staff Foundation.
Take on 22, 36.5 or the fearsome 52 miles in just 24 hours.
The Yomp is a team event. You can take part in the challenge in teams of between 3 and 6. So get your friends, family and colleagues involved
By training together, fundraising together and sharing the exhilarating experience of taking part together, you and your friends or colleagues will take away memories which will be the highlight of your year.
Located an hour and half north of Edinburgh and Glasgow. The route takes you through some of the most remote and hidden areas of Scotland. This event offers you the chance to experience some of the most dramatic and beautiful parts of the UK.
The Event
The Yomp will be the Rolls Royce of charity walks; from the pasta party on the Friday night to the mid walk fireworks and target range to the professional massage and full cooked breakfast at the finish you will be superbly fed and supported throughout. There will be tasty hot food and drinks, cakes, fruit and quality refreshments at all the right locations to ensure we keep you going.
There will be the highest quality medical / marshal support across the event to ensure the only thing you need to think about is the next mile.

The price
Registration for the Alliance Trust Cateran Yomp is £110.
Register before the 31 December 2011 to qualify for our fantastic early bird offer of only £80. Price increases to £95 from 1 January to 29 February 2012.

Fundraising
This event exists to raise money to support our soldiers and their families as such you will also be asked to commit to raising £400 in sponsorship. This amount is per person, so a team of four, for example, would need to work together to raise £1,600, adding a fundraising element to the challenge. The Alliance Trust Cateran Yomp is raising money to support ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, PSYBT and Alliance Trust Staff Foundation. All money raised will be split. Two thirds will go to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity and the remaining to PSYBT and the Alliance Trust Staff Foundation.
