Families

  • Army Families Federation
    The AFF is the independent voice of Army families and works hard to improve the quality of life for Army families worldwide on any aspect that is affected by the Army lifestyle.
  • Army Welfare Service
    Much of the support available to Army personnel and their families is given through the Army Welfare Service (AWS), a professional and confidential welfare support service for servicemen and women and their families, wherever they are located.The Army Welfare Service has three main tasks: Community Support, Personal Support and HIVE information services.
  • Army Widows Association
    The AWA’s aim is to offer comfort, support and friendship to the widows and widowers of service men and women and help them resolve some of the difficulties they may face after the death of their spouse.
  • Community Housing and Therapy
    Making psychological treatment available to those who suffer from psychosis and the homeless.

  • Military Corrective Training Centre
    The MCTC has extensive Military Training facilities and an Education Wing that includes trade training.

  • Royal Commonwealth Ex-Services League
    The League’s aim, as defined then is to: “ensure that no Commonwealth ex-serviceman or woman is without help if in need.”
  • Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation
    The Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation provides homes and rehabilitative support to vulnerable and disabled ex-Servicemen and women, including those who have been homeless.
  • Skill Force
    A dynamic education charity that delivers inspiring programmes that increase the numbers of young people entering education, employment and training on leaving school.
  • SSAFA Forces Help
    Support those who serve in our Armed Forces and those who used to serve – even if it was only for a single day. They also care for the families of both.

    The Officers Association will help anyone who holds (or has ever held) a commission in the British Armed Forces to find employment.
