Lucky residents of the BLESMA Home in Blackpool and Broughton House, Home for disabled Ex-Service personnel in Salford, received gifts ranging from books to the traditional chocolates.

  • Ex-Commando Ride Raises a Tidy Sum

    A brave crew of three ex-commandos recently compteted a mammoth cycle ride from John O’Groats to Land’s End to raise money for The Soldiers’ Charity.

    Their diary is well worth a read with our personal favourite quote being “[we had] nothing to worry about except the start of a feeling that would haunt us for the entire nine days, Saddle Sore!

    And the best part is that they raised £9,010 for The Soldiers’ Charity!

  • The British Military Tournament

    Residents of Earls Court, London would have wondered what was happening last weekend as crowds at The British Military Tournament attempted to cheer the roof off the sold out Exhibition Centre.

    Highlights of the fantastic event were the legendary Field Gun Race, an extract from West End hit War Horse and a re-enactment of a typical incident in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, featuring a Chinook!
