Doing The Bridgnorth Walk
24 February 2010
20 members of 123 Ammo Sqn RLC (V) based in Telford participated in the Bridgnorth Charity Walk to raise money for The Soldiers Charity.
They were commanded by Lt Antony Lord RLC and completed the gruelling 22 mile march from Bridgnorth in Shropshire to the top of the Brown Clee, a local landmark some 546 feet above sea level.
A total of over £1600 was raised in sponsorship of which £1450 was donated to Colonel Peter Knox the Regional Director of Fundraising, West Midlands Area, and the remainder distributed to local charities.
In 2007 the squadron undertook the same challenge and donated £700 to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. They hope to make this an annual event.
