The Lord Mayor’s Big Curry 2010 was a sell out success which saw Guildhall packed to it’s historic beams with a mix of city folk, soldiers, supporters and people the charity have helped.

Friend completes challenge to remember hero soldier

A former soldier completed his challenge to run a race for every year of his friend’s life when he crossed the finishing line of the London Marathon.
Kristian Williams ran 21 races for his 21 year old friend Rifleman Jamie Gunn from Monmouth who died last year in Helmand Province.

On April 11th LCpl Martin Laker and Team 6 pack ran the 2010 Paris Marathon raising a fantastic £2,000 for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity! Team 6 Pack comprised of Lcpl Martin Laker, brothers Alan & Andy Lockwood, Dad Clive Lockwood, Matt Riley and Adam Cooper. All lads hail from the Grimsby area, it was the first marathon for all but now they have marathon fever so bring on London 2011!

Leeds duo's lung-bursting 12 day challenge for charity

Two tough men from Yorkshire are undertaking a massive challenge in aid of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. Not content with travelling from Lands End to John O’ Groats, Dave Edwards and Andy North will travel through the UK by completing 12 marathons and a dozen 60-mile bike rides in 12 successive days.
