Buxton Military Tattoo 2010

The Buxton Military Tattoo, part of the Buxton Festival Fringe, was acclaimed as ”... a phenomenon” and ”... a Triumph” and even won the “Best Event” at the Fringe in the Other Events category.

The organisers have already beaten their fundraising target of £10,000 for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity!

Musically the Tattoo was fantastic with treats ranging from The Volunteer Band of the Mercian Regiment playing The Great Escape, to The Pipes & Drums of RAF Waddington giving the audience a flavour of Scotland with their tartan and bagpipes.

Tribute was paid to soldiers who have been injured or lost their lives in the line of duty, including Buxton’s Marine, Scott Gregory Taylor.

The next Buxton Military Tattoo will be held on Saturday 9 July 2011.
