12 July 2010
A group of celebrities, school children, companies and serving soldiers have come together to record No One But You (Only The Good Die Young) by Brian May.
The single features celebrities including Alice Barry from Shameless, Ian Aspinall from Holby City, Darren Day and Rachel Hylton of X Factor fame. Along with serving soldiers and children from Worsthorne Primary School the studio was packed with supporters ready and willing to do their bit for The Soldiers’ Charity.
Regional Director of Fundraising for the North West, Lt Col Philip Aindow, even took a turn on the microphone!
Raynor Pepper of Making Some Memories Ltd, one of the three companies behind the single, commented “we thought it would be fitting to have a song representing the dedication and hard work these service men and women actually do.”
“For the world we live in, it is charities like this that are around to help assist these servicemen and women when in need.”
The other companies involved are Bar Rojo/CDL Leisure and Rock Hard Music Group Ltd.
