A special Coldstream Cup Golf Day, which took place last week, raised around £100,000.

The profit is to be split between The Coldstream Guards Afghan Fund and ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.

A team from Battleback, a scheme which helps wounded service men and women recover from injury through adventurous training and sport – and which is helped by The Soldiers’ Charity, took part in the day.

With the cup on the left are L to R: Guardsman Sam Watson, 24, who joined the Coldstream Guards last year, Soldiers’ Charity assistant for the London region Geri Hogarth and Chelsea Pensioner Charles McLaughlin.

84-year-old Chelsea Pensioner and keen golfer, Charles McLaughlin was a special guest on the day. The Royal Hospital Chelsea is an example of an organisation which ABF The Soldiers’ Charity have helped, proving that we look after soldiers, former soldiers and their families young and old!
