Michaelmas Fair Powderham Castle

This year’s Fair at Powderham Castle raised around £5000 for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. The day started off very rainy and blustery and we had problems putting the gazebo up, but by 10 o’ clock when we opened the skies had cleared and stayed that way for the rest of the day.

Original Bugle That Sounded The Charge Of The Light Brigade In 1854 To Be Played At 2011 British Military Tournament

It was announced today that the historic bugle which was used to sound the Charge of The Light Brigade in 1854 is to be played in a special audio-visual presentation of the Charge at this year’s British Military Tournament.
