Michaelmas Fair Powderham Castle

This year’s Fair at Powderham Castle raised around £5000 for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. The day started off very rainy and blustery and we had problems putting the gazebo up, but by 10 o’ clock when we opened the skies had cleared and stayed that way for the rest of the day.

We were very pleased to have Jethro Marles from Bearnes, Hampton and Littlewood, our sponsors, providing free silver, watch and jewellery valuations for us throughout the day. We thank both him and Bearnes, Hampton and Littlewood very much.
The large number of visitors all seemed to enjoy the wide variety of stalls on show; the ambience of the magnificent castle adding to the Christmas atmosphere.

Thank you once again to Lord and Lady Devon for once again allowing us the use of their beautiful home for the Fair.

Next year’s fair date is Thursday 8th November 2012 from 10am-3pm.Please join us for some early Christmas shopping!
