More than 1,150 walkers took part in this year’s Cateran Yomp, the 24-hour 54-mile trek across the Highlands of Perthshire, all to raise money for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. Despite challenging weather conditions, this year’s Yomp saw the most participants ever in the seven years it has been running, with the highest amount ever – 499 – completing the Gold Route. Relive the memories and watch our official Yomp video today!
Since 2011 around 4,500 people have taken part in the Yomp, raising nearly £3million for the Charity in the process. It is thanks to your participation that we are able to step in and help people like Stewart, our inspiring 2017 Yomp Ambassador.
Stewart Harris said: Whilst I was unwell, The Soldiers’ Charity stepped in to support my family. Without their help, our lives would have become even more difficult. Without fundraising efforts like the Cateran Yomp, the charity would not be able to help people like me. So, for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Registration for the Cateran Yomp 2018 is now open, join us on 9-10 June and battle the Perthshire hills, are you tough enough? Sign up and find out today!
