Soldiers’ Charity grant helps Scottish Veterans’ Garden City Association keep to a roof over veterans’ heads

A grant from ABF The Soldiers’ Charity to the Scottish Veterans’ Garden City Association – a charity that provides low-rent homes for disabled veterans – will help with the maintenance of one of its properties, helping to keep a roof over veterans’ heads.

Peter Minshall, Chief Executive of the SCGCA comments: “Our plan is to use this very much appreciated grant to address a roof repair we have on our Arts and Craft houses at Pitlochry, where we house disabled veterans.  These houses are a hundred years old and were built very substantially, but with age there comes a point where greater refurbishment is needed.

“The Soldiers’ Charity has very kindly stepped in with a grant that will now help with this roof renovation, for which we are extremely grateful.”
